Women’s Book Club

January 5 at 7:00 pm

(it will be an online-only meeting, Zoom link to follow)

We will be reading “The Genius of Place: The Life of Frederick Law Olmsted” by Justin Martin. This biography of Frederick Law Olmsted covers the life of the man who is best remembered for his landscape architecture, from New York’s Central Park to Boston’s Emerald Necklace to Stanford University’s campus. But Olmsted was also an influential journalist, an early voice for the environment and an abolitionist who is credited with helping dissuade England from joining the South in the Civil War.

We will also be planning a movie night for late January or early February; please think of movies you would like to watch. For more information, please contact Suzanne Lee,
