FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Christ Church is a wonderfully active and vital
place, with a variety of worship services to fit every need, a
growing and creative Sunday School program, great music, and a
welcoming and caring congregation. We are all, parishioners and
staff, tremendously thankful to be here.
We hope you will reflect on the blessings we've been given
here at Christ Church, and in our lives, and that you will pledge
to financially support this congregation. Your pledge at any time during the year expresses your support
for this place, and helps us serve this community better.
Click here to download a pledge card. Completed pledge cards can be placed in the offering plate on Sunday or mailed to the church office at 36 South Main Street, Pittsford, NY 14534.
It's easy to pay your pledge:
Sunday Offering
The worship offering is the most traditional method of making a gift to God's work at Christ Church. Checks can be put in the plate, and you'll receive a quarterly statement. Offering envelopes are available if you prefer.
Mail to the Office
Checks can be mailed directly to the church office on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis. Some folks have their bank or charitable giving account send us checks directly.
Stock Transfer
Gifts of stock may be made to Christ Church, which potentially has some tax benefits for the donor. For more information, contact Kelly Scudder at 586-1226 or email.
Psalm One Hundred Society for Planned Giving
Statistics say that 70% of Americans have not made a will yet.
This means that the government will determine how your assets,
whether modest or substantial, will be distributed, and you
may miss the opportunity to make distributions according
to your
wishes or even minimize taxes.
Our Book of Common Prayer urges us to think about and plan
for the future. On page 445, you can read:
"The minister of the Congregation is directed to instruct the
people, from time to time, about the duty of Christian parents
to make prudent provision for
the well-being of their families and all persons to make wills, which
they are in health, arranging for the disposal of their temporal
goods, not neglecting,
if they are able, to leave bequests for religious and charitable uses."
When you are planning for the future, we hope you will consider
remembering Christ Church in your will. We attend church regularly
over the course
of many years;
we rely on weekly worship to help us consider how God would have us
live; we mark important times of our lives at church: birth, baptism,
marriage,
death;
we count on the community to help us celebrate the good times and support
us during the painful times. The church is an important part of our
ongoing lives
over a long period of time, and it is well and good to honor its importance
in our wills.
To honor those who commit to remembering Christ Church in their
wills, we have established the Psalm 100 Society. To honor the members of the Society, we commissioned the tree of life artwork in the sanctuary. Your gift will ensure that Christ Church is here for our children and grandchildren. To find out more on how to remember Christ Church in your will,
please contact the church office, the Rev. Winifred Collin, or
Pete French. |
